Know what the pledge means.
These terms keep participation clear, human and credible.
Short summary
By pledging, you are declaring your own commitment to Pledge 1% for Human Progress. Public participation does not mean ACAIF endorses, accredits or formally partners with you. Public profiles and statements may be moderated. You may withdraw your pledge and must stop using the pledge mark if it is no longer active.
1. What the pledge represents
The pledge records a self-declared commitment to put a small part of what you create behind a future in which technological progress expands human possibility. ACAIF does not audit the standard pledge unless a separate written process explicitly says it does.
2. Public or private participation
You may choose a public or private pledge. A private pledge is not shown in the public directory. A public pledge may be held for moderation before it appears.
3. Organisation and identity review
ACAIF may review organisation-domain email, official websites or other credible public signals before publishing an organisation profile. This review protects the movement from impersonation. It is not an ACAIF certification of the organisation.
4. Pledge mark and badge
Active pledgers may use the movement mark to describe their own participation. The mark must not be used to imply ACAIF endorsement, accreditation, investment approval, certification or partnership. If a pledge is withdrawn or removed, use of the mark must stop.
5. Statements and moderation
ACAIF may hide, refuse or remove public statements containing fraud, impersonation, hate, defamation, malicious links, commercial spam, abusive content or political campaigning unrelated to the movement. ACAIF will not make a substantive edit to your public statement without your approval; it may instead request a change or withhold publication.
6. Changes and withdrawal
You may ask to correct your information, change public visibility or withdraw the pledge. ACAIF may retain records it is legally required to retain and may keep limited internal history needed to protect the integrity of the movement.
7. Privacy
ACAIF collects only information reasonably needed to operate the pledge, communicate about it and, where you choose, publish a public profile. See the Privacy and Data Use notice.
8. Refusal and removal
ACAIF may refuse or remove clearly fraudulent, abusive or misleading participation, including false claims to represent an organisation or public institution.
9. Updates to these terms
ACAIF may update these terms as the movement evolves. The system records the version and date accepted for each pledge. Material changes affecting existing pledges should be communicated where appropriate.
